Leveraging intangible assets.
Unfortunately, there remain a significant percentage of management/leadership teams and boards whose perspective of intangible assets is, in my judgment, far too narrow.
Its clear that many management/leadership teams and boards retain the outdated, if not obsolete, perspective that intangible assets exist primarily, if not soley in the context of goodwill.
With intangible assets, it may not always be a case of ‘use’em or lose’em’, but it’s always a case of ‘if you’re not using them, you’re not benefiting from them’, and that translates as lost or, at minimum, significantly reduced value, revenue, and sustainability.
