Artificial Intelligence = Collaborations of Intangible Assets

Conversationally, the term “artificial intelligence” is frequently applied…to-when a machine imitates (human) cognitive (sensory) functions which in turn, can be applied to learning and problem solving.

AI (artificial intelligence) is the artful assemblage of intangible assets…initially, intellectual and structural capital, which in turn pave the way for other IA’s (intangible assets) to develop and surface, i.e., relationship capital particularly, and be valued, integrated, and exploited comparable to other types – categories of (sector specific) IA’s.

For example, the ability to import high levels of ‘human like’ AI functionality to…machine formats, ala imports and outputs are designed to assess circumstances and environments which, in effect, are starting points and/or requisites to any non-physical asset being distinguished as intangible.

AI (artificial intelligence) represents higher levels of collaboration and intra-connectivity…of IA’s within a company and/or a specific project which company management team are obliged to explore insofar as wherever, however, and whenever AI can be relevant. For example, AI has rapidly evolved to exhibit the five human senses, i.e., touch, sight, hearing, taste, and smell.

Equally important, effectively integrated – applied AI, can play…measurable and contributory roles to company-business efficiencies, value, sources of revenue, competitive advantages, and sustainability, etc.

I claim no special expertise with AI…other than recognizing its increasingly integral and contributory role in business operation and the (fiduciary) obligation to explore – recognizing how AI can be lucratively exploited for purposes of advancing a business client’s goals and objectives.

Artificial intelligence broadly defines itself as the…study of ‘intelligent agents’ which I respectfully interpret as devices-machines which are integrated with ‘human like’ inputs that perceive and act accordingly to specifically pre-targeted circumstances occurring in and/or to an environment.

The AI component then takes – engages in action(s)…intended to favorably affect – impact a pre-targeted circumstance, presumably to elevate the probability those actions will contribute to a desired outcome and/or mitigate a risk, etc., which the AI senses to reflect – accommodate a particular goal or objective.

There are numerous goals of AI (research)…some include reasoning, perception, knowledge application and integration, planning, learning, and processing, the ability to manipulate objects and translate same to general intelligence are some longer-term goals for artificial intelligence.

The AI field is frequently characterized as being founded on two premises, i.e., that…

  1. human intelligence can be precisely described, and
  2. machines can be made to simulate human intelligence.

These characterizations routinely raise philosophical arguments regarding…(a.) the human mind, and (b.) the ethics of creating artificial beings possessing human-like intelligence. Some consider AI a risk to humanity, at least as we know it, if it progresses unabatedly.

It would be an understatement to suggest the…scope (functionality, application) of AI can, and frequently does, trigger legitimate disputes, especially the endless ‘potentials’ whereby machines can and inevitably will engage in tasks conventionally considered to require human sensory intelligence.

Granted, some current, as well as horizonal aspects – features of artificial intelligence, i.e., optical character recognition for one, which may be excluded as part of a definition of artificial intelligence. In part, that’s because ‘optical character recognition’ has become a relatively routine and embedded technology. That said, capabilities generally classified as constituting AI currently (in 2017-2018) include machine capability to…

  • understand human speech.
  • compete at a high level of strategic gaming systems
  • autonomously operate automobiles
  • engage in ‘intelligent routing’ in content delivery networks, military simulations, and interpreting complex data.
